The hope of Valle Escondido, whether guests come to the farm, hotel, café, night walk or preserve is that they leave with a positive experience that could potentially influence a stronger connection to nature and sustainable practices. Valle Escondido believes that fundamentally people enjoy nature, supporting that connection is part of our mission. We believe that people, if given the opportunity, will work towards sustainable practices and preservation of natural environments.

Valle Escondido Preserve believes in, incorporates and hopes to inspire sustainable practices including permaculture and green technology. In this effort towards self sustainability we invite you to explore different design methods and infrastructure adjustments we have implemented in this carbon neutral goal at Hidden Valley Farm.

The practice of permaculture guides us to mimic the patterns and relationships we can find in nature and can be applied to all aspects of human habitation, from agriculture to ecological building, from appropriate technology to education and even economics.'
