Our trails and platforms are recognized as the best in the area.  We are one of the only reserves to provide wheelchair access.

BIRDWATCHING

Guests commonly see over 50 species of birds while hiking on the trails of Valle Escondido.

FLORA AND FAUNA

Butterflies, endemic trees, coatis and agouties, and capuchin monkeys are part of the experience.  

WATERFALLS

At different view spots and platforms, waterfalls can be spotted from the trails of the nature reserve.

MONTEVERDE NIGHT TOUR

One of the first in Costa Rica, our popular night tour provides a unique experience, guiding guests into the forest to witness the animals in their natural environment. 

WHEEL CHAIR ACCESS TRAILS

Our wheelchair access trails travel through our hammock  garden passing along primary and secondary forest and including a viewing platform of one of the reserve waterfalls.
